Our first night out

So this is us, walking out towards the metro station to go to downtown shanghai for our first night in the big city

This is downtown shanghai baby. This big globe-a-majig is above the mall we went in to eat. So cool, I had to take two pictures of it. 


This is where we ate. The chinese are so smart. Its like a food court of sort, but instead of paying where you get food from, you go to a station to fill up your card with money, and then walk around and get it scanned when you are ready to pay. Really helps relieve any congestion when ordering food.

Of course, Karaoke, and someone who is way too into it when his voice says he shouldnt be. More power to him for it though.
2 american dudes who just finished study abroad but wanted to stay in shanghai started to promote this new club and found me on the street. They gave me a bunch of free drink passes, so we checked it out, and it was so nice. It was called SOHO, and it just opened the week prior. I was feelin' it.

Hard to tell what this is, but its the back of a giant disco ball you can go in and do makeup! This was on the way to the mens bathroom, so I was taken aback when I saw it. So pretty, especially when you become a little googly eyed.
